Position: Senior Systems Engineer (Active Clearance)

Job Overview

This role is for an experienced Systems Engineering professional in the Mission Systems Secure Subsystems Department, focusing on communication solutions that connect militaries worldwide.

What You Will Do
  • Perform analyses, architecture, and design at all levels of the total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Conduct functional analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Provide analyses for decomposition of customer specifications and system‑level requirements into subsystem and part requirements; develop verification criteria and plans.
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total system solutions.
  • Carry out daily tasks in a classified and controlled lab environment.
  • Travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

You Must Have

  • A STEM degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering.
  • Active and existing Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance (required prior to start date).
  • U.S. citizenship (only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance).

We Prefer

  • Familiarity with the Scaled Agile framework.
  • Strong communication skills and experience presenting technical data to program management and executive leadership.
  • Experience with cryptographic hardware architecture/design, network encryption specifications, and test methodologies.
  • Experience with tools such as DOORS, CAMEO or similar, and software languages such as Rust and Python.
  • Experience with hardware and software integration, validation and verification testing, and qualification testing.
