Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring for an Experienced Specialized Test Equipment (STE) Integration Lead (Level
4) to join the team located in El Segundo, CA.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements manufacturing processes across organizations.
- Monitors activities and supports the resolution of complex production related issues.
- Leads the investigation of product defects and production inefficiencies and develops solutions to reduce/mitigate.
- Develops staffing plans.
- Coordinates and prepares justification for major capital expenditures and equipment implementation.
- Provides project leadership to multiple disciplines.
- Leads long-range research on proposed projects.
- Serves as primary interface with external customers.
- Identifies customer contract requirements.
- Develops and implements actionable plan for implementation across organizations.
- Provides status to internal and external customers.
- Serve as primary interface with internal stakeholders and external customers regarding STE readiness, status, requirements, and execution plans.
- Conduct daily handoff meetings and coordinate staffing plans.
- Support task assignments based on workload and priorities outlined by management.
- Lead long-range research and planning for proposed projects and future lab capability needs.
- Facilitate short-term STE allocation with emphasis on real time asset management.
- Assist in STE sustainment and critical components reviews to identify common failures, obsolete parts, high-risk/high-value components, and required action plans.
- Monitor activities and support resolution of complex production-related issues impacting STE readiness.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventative action to reduce production inefficiencies.
- Serve as an alternate to STE FAST Integration Lead
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience working in test with Special Test Equipment (STE) for satellite production
- 3+ years' experience in analyzing data, performing trend analysis, and compiling reports
- 3+ years' experience translating data into an actionable plans and recommendations for implementation within the organization
- Experience working with electronics and/or mechanical systems in design fabrication and test
- Previous experience working with collective bargaining agreements and/or a union-represented workforce
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Active US Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Experience in a lead, supervisor, or manager role
Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires ship. A final U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance Post Start and Special Program Access is required.
