This job is initially 25hrs/week with the chance to go to a full 40 hrs if work requires it

Our client is a large Aerospace Industry Manufacturer.

We are looking for a Production Controller 1 to support our Global Supply Chain department. As a member of the Goods Movement department, you will get to support the ACC shop.

• Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control.
• Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production. Expedites flow of materials, parts
  , and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
• Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
• Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.
• Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
• Position is in-office, unable to accommodate a telecommute/hybrid schedule.

Essential Functions:

• Utilize WIP reports to expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing to assist in prioritizing WIP to ensure contractual schedule dates are met.
• Utilize knowledge of production requirements to coordinate with other shop support teams (Manufacturing Engineering,
  Quality, MRB
  , Industrial Engineering, Shipping, Distribution, etc.) to initiate actions to remove any constraints to Production.
• Perform necessary SAP and MES system transactions to; release work orders to Manufacturing, receive parts into inventory, close out manufacturing work orders, and issue parts up to next higher assemblies.
• Able to interface and obtain ECDs from Manufacturing based on the criticality of the parts.
• Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
• Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.

Requirements:

• High School diploma with 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work in MS 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Abilit to obtain and maintain equipment licensing, including but not limited to electric carts, forklift, reachlift.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in SAP
• Experience working in a manufacturing setting
• Experience working in a warehouse environment
