Raytheon El Segundo is hiring a Manufacturing Supervisor to provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily meetings, effective communications and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes.
What You Will Do- Perform daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication, and execution with support group members.
- Work dedicatedly to addressing issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals.
- Establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities.
- Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost. reduction through the system’s various elements.
- Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS).
- Drive quality and customer satisfaction through CORE operating system.
Typically requires university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience. Supervisory, Leadership and/or Manufacturing/Operations experience is required Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supervising bargaining unit employees in the aerospace/defense industry.
- Experience assigning, managing, and measuring work assignments to completion.
- Experience with information technology systems, and experience working in asystems integration factoryor similar environment.
- Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.
- Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean / six sigma implementation projects.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
- Ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early, and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Experience in managing test equipment and customer property.
