Lead Supplier Quality Specialist – The Boeing Company
Position in the Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization located in El Segundo, CA. Works with the Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) organization to determine supplier quality requirements.
Position Responsibilities- Lead audits and assessments of complex suppliers’ systems, processes, and products.
- Document and report audit and assessment results.
- Delegate product acceptance responsibility to suppliers.
- Assess capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or future work.
- Provide education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues, and company initiatives.
- Develop training materials and resources to improve supplier performance and productivity.
- Create and review command media to identify process and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Review purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure quality requirements are flowed to suppliers.
- 3+ years as a Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, or Supplier Quality Specialist.
- 3+ years working with quality systems such as Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), ISO
9001, or AS9100. - Willing and able to travel domestically 10% of the time.
- U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to comply with U.S. export control.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Experience working in MATES or other calibration services.
- Knowledge of ISO
17025 requirements.
