OverviewThe Senior Manager of Quality is an Operational leader of the Quality function at Haus Labs. This role supports quality system implementations and executes the company's end-to-end Quality strategy; governing product integrity, regulatory readiness, supplier performance, and launch excellence across all formulas, components, and finished goods.
As the Senior Quality Manager, this role partners closely with Operations, Product Development, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and external manufacturing partners to ensure risk-appropriate, scalable quality systems that support growth, speed-to-market, and brand trust. This position combines cross functional management with hands‑on execution and serves as the primary authority for review of quality, risk & compliance decisions as well as external audits.
WhatYou’ll Do Quality Governance
- Support our definition of Quality vision, operating model, and roadmap along with executive team
- Implement risk-based quality framework aligned to growth stage and category mix
- Serve as authority on quality release, exceptions, and risk acceptance
- Translate quality risks into cross functional tradeoffs
- Own quality governance across the NPI lifecycle
- Govern BOM, Formula, and Technical Specification change control
- Ensure regulatory and customer readiness for all launches
- Define lot review and positive release frameworks
- Personally perform and document incoming quality inspections for all production lots, including physical review of
- finished goods, components, packaging, labeling, and overall SKU conformance
- Verify production output against approved standards, specifications, range boards, and regulatory requirements
- Identify and elevate defects, trends, or deviations requiring corrective action, containment, or release exceptions
- Ensure inspection outcomes are formally documented, traceable, and audit-ready within Quality and ERP systems
- Act as senior Quality counterpart to all Contract Manufacturers and suppliers
- Own Vendor Quality Management Program and scorecards
- Lead audits and oversee CAPA strategy and closure
- Quality Systems & Compliance
- Architect and maintain scalable Quality Management Systems
- Own complaint management, RCA, and CAPA programs
- Establish Quality KPIs and executive dashboards
- Serve as key Quality advisor to leadership
- Participate as Quality Lead in executive forums and critical incident response
- 6+ years of progressive Quality experience in beauty or consumer goods
- Experience managing Quality function or system
- Strong knowledge of contract manufacturing and regulatory readiness
- Ability to operate strategically and tactically in fast-growth environments
- Strong communication skills
- Supplier risks are proactively mitigated
- Quality systems are scalable and audit-ready
- Launches are predictable and compliant
