Clean Harbors is hiring a Clean Pack Chemist to safely collect, categorize, and pack hazardous and non-hazardous waste from client sites for transport and disposal. You will perform field chemical identification, labeling, and segregation, ensure strict compliance with RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations, and maintain detailed documentation. The role supports spill response and industrial projects, operates material-handling equipment, and follows rigorous safety procedures.
CDL school sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates seeking to obtain a commercial driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Collect, identify, and categorize hazardous and non-hazardous waste at customer sites
- Safely pack, label, and manifest waste for transport and disposal in compliance with RCRA, DOT, and EPA rules
- Perform basic field chemical analysis and compatibility checks
- Operate material-handling and safety equipment according to procedures
- Maintain accurate logs, manifests, and regulatory documentation
- Support spill response and industrial cleaning projects as assigned
- Follow all Clean Harbors and OSHA safety standards and use appropriate PPECoordinate with drivers and disposal facilities to ensure proper routing and scheduling
