IT Specialist, Data Science Manager
Overview
The Manager, Security Operations & Investigations will lead security operations for Mattel’s El Segundo, CA corporate campus. The role focuses on enhancing day‑to‑day security operations, personnel performance, and overall campus safety within a corporate environment.
This position reports to the Director of Global Security and Compliance.
Responsibilities- Build and lead a high‑performing El Segundo security team, fostering collaboration, strong communication, integrity, and a positive culture.
- Provide strategic physical security guidance to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies, standards, and procedures.
- Lead crisis management strategy and program development while maintaining a high level of emergency preparedness and supporting business continuity efforts.
- Drive Global Security initiatives, including the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all physical security matters, including crisis response, events, investigations, and officer deployment.
- Oversee security planning and staffing for corporate events and public engagements.
- Partner with Global Security teams to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and manage security and safety investigations; collaborate cross‑functionally as needed.
- Oversee investigative resources to ensure timely, thorough case resolution and keep leadership informed of key developments.
- Support GSOC operations through SOP development and identification of tools to monitor and mitigate risks to people, assets, and facilities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective daily operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- College Degree (BA) in a related field including Security, Finance, or Organizational Leadership.
- 6+ years’ experience in investigations, corporate security management, brand protection, with major corporation and/or law enforcement.
- Preferred certifications of CFE, PSP, and/or CPP.
- Interviewing experience.
- Experience in leading teams.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal communication preferred.
