The Senior Guidance Software Engineer will join a research and development team responsible for delivering guidance and navigation software for a new airframe programme. Based on site, the role combines algorithm development, embedded software engineering and system integration on flight hardware.
Responsibilities- Implementing guidance and navigation software within commercial autopilot frameworks
- Supporting airframe design through close collaboration with engineering teams
- Integrating and validating software on flight hardware platforms
- Developing embedded software across microcontroller and Linux based systems
- Contributing technical expertise across evolving product families
- A degree in computer science computer engineering aerospace engineering or a related field
- Extensive experience in object oriented software development for aerospace systems
- Proven delivery of guidance algorithms for unmanned aircraft platforms
- C++ and Python flight software development for safety critical systems
- Guidance and autonomy development for UAS platforms using PX4 and iNAV
- MAVLink based command and control architectures
- Eligibility to access United States only data systems
