Sr. Tactical Systems Integration Project Leader

The Aerospace Corporation is a federally funded research and development center that provides technical expertise to support national security space missions. The Defense Systems Group (DSG) delivers analysis-based decision support to senior leaders on space architectures, policy, and strategy. The C2 Operational Systems team is seeking a Sr. Tactical Systems Integration Project Leader to lead the integration of tactical systems with battle management systems.

• Lead a team of network, software, and data experts evaluating potential integration points of existing tactical systems with battle management systems.
• Collaborate with outside organizations to develop feasible solutions enabling enterprise integration.
• Perform hands‑on technical integration work in the fields of USSF C2.
• Influence key government and contractor stakeholders to move forward with proposed integrations.
• Work with other Aerospace, government, and contractor engineering teams located in Colorado Springs, CO, and El Segundo, CA.

• Minimum:
  Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent technical area of study.
• 12+ years of experience in a relevant technical field with some experience related to C2 systems, cloud, and cyber security.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Working understanding of the USSF C2 architecture and key requirements.
• Experience dealing with organizational ambiguity.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working through complex engineering challenges with technical and political contributions.
• Substantive experience with the DoD acquisition lifecycle.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (≈10–20%).
• Current and active TS/SCI government clearance (issued by the U.S. government).
• U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance.

• Hands‑on development experience.
• Experience operating effectively in complex working environments.
• Experience working directly with contractors to implement and test complex designs.
• Experience with agile development programs and test strategies.
• Familiarity with military space systems and operational concepts.
• Experience defining and implementing a strategic technical vision.
• Hands‑on experience with space‑based tactical systems.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud software deployments.
• Ability to obtain necessary SAP‑level clearances.
