- We are seeking for Finance & AI Automation Intern
- This is a seat for a technically-minded student who is excited about AI and wants to apply it inside a real public-company finance team
- You’ll use AI tools (and some simple code where it helps) to speed up the repetitive parts of finance, and get real exposure to the company’s capital-markets and funding activity
- You don’t need a finance background — we’ll teach you the finance
- What matters most is that you’re comfortable with technology, genuinely curious about AI, and eager to learn and build
- AI & Automation:
Use AI tools (and basic Python or no-code tools where helpful) to help speed up data cleaning, categorization, research, and reporting that the team does manually today; help build, test, and document small automations and AI workflows under the guidance of the finance team - Finance Support:
Support core finance work as you learn it — financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and month-end data preparation - Capital Markets:
Help track equity financing (e.g., committed equity / ELOC), convertible instruments, and financing timelines; support cap-table, dilution, and funding trackers and investor / IR materials - Research:
Conduct market, peer, and investor research (accelerated with AI) and prepare clean, well-sourced summaries for the finance and IR teams
- Modern workspace incorporating the latest technologies
- Employee referral program
- Paid relocation
- 401k retirement plan
- Generous healthcare, vision, and dental care – free to employees and discounted for partners and families
- Stock options
- Foosball and ping pong tables including tournaments
- Frequent social events, happy hours, and team parties
- “Soul of Faraday” community outreach team
- Casual dress code and relaxed work environment
- Free parking – with carpool reimbursement
Finance Interest:
Able to read a basic P&L, or eager to learn; comfortable learning the company’s financial systems and working with data
Education:
Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Detail Orientation:
Proactive, reliable, detail-oriented, and someone who enjoys figuring out smarter ways to do things in a fast-moving, lean environment
Technical Aptitude (primary focus):
Strong aptitude for and genuine interest in AI and technology; comfortable going beyond chatting with AI — some exposure to basic coding (e.g., Python) or building simple automations through coursework, class projects, or personal projects. You don’t need professional experience; curiosity and a willingness to learn matter most
Capital markets:
Some interest in or exposure to capital markets and fundraising (e.g., equity / debt raising, ELOC / convertibles, investor materials, or SEC filings) through coursework, a club, an internship, or self-study
Tools:
Familiarity with tools like Python, no-code automation (e.g., Zapier / Make), or AI coding assistants
Language:
Bilingual Mandarin Chinese is a plus
Projects:
Anything you’ve built with AI or code — even a class project, a small script, or a personal side project — we’d love to hear about it
