Software Engineer II [Embedded / Radar]
Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II [Embedded / Radar] to be part of their product development team for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group.
What you will do:
- Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions, with minimal guidance.
- Contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration
- Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities.
- Utilize investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
- Work with teams across multiple disciplines, internal and external
- Participate in program and customer meetings/reviews
- Support the team leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.
- Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality.
- Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.
- Work Location:
Onsite at our El Segundo, CA Campus - Must be able to obtain "special access programs" (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment.
Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools.
- Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS
- The ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Current DoD Secret and Top Secret Clearance
- Introductory Experience with design, code, integration, and test of software into a large software baseline and large system
- Proven ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) Clearances
- Experience developing Radar Software applications
- Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.
- Direct experience with Agile methodologies.
- Analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.
- Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.
