Job Description:
Carry out all duties related to job as assigned by Superintendent, Principal, or Supervisors as designated by the Superintendent or Principal
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To lead students toward their potential for intellectual, emotional, psychological, and physical growth and maturation through provision of appropriate guidance and learning experiences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Establishes objectives and plans learning experiences.
* Implements activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to
meet objectives.
* Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a functional
learning atmosphere.
* Exhibits positive human relations skills.
* Evaluates the educational program and/or student progress.
* Communicates with parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups.
* Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
* Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policies, and
state and federal rules and regulations.
* Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must hold a valid Alabama professional educator certificate or alternate certificate in secondary math.
* Must teach [full-time] approved math courses in grades 7-12 with the appropriate certificate endorsements.
* Hold a valid Alabama professional educator certificate or alternate certificate in middle level math or secondary math.
* Teacher full-time approved math courses in grades 7-12 with the appropriate certificate endorsements; and

Based on Elba City Schools teacher matrix and depending on degree and experience
