Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Elba, Alabama

• Provide interpreting services between students, staff, and teachers using American Sign Language (ASL)
• Facilitate communication in both classroom and extracurricular settings
• Support the educational, social, and emotional needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Collaborate with instructors and special education teams to ensure equal access to curriculum
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all student interactions
• Adapt interpreting services for a variety of situations, including meetings, assemblies, and school events

• Active SLI license required
• Proficiency in ASL and other signed communication modes
• Experience interpreting in school or educational environments preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to quickly adapt to different learning environments and student needs
