OFFICE COORDINATOR
Laney Companies, located in Eldersburg, MD, is seeking an organized and professional Office Coordinator to perform a variety of administrative and operational duties, including a variety of duties including accounting & payroll support, and dispatching.
To be successful as an office coordinator you must be detail-oriented and manage your time efficiently so that office operations run smoothly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage financial tasks, including invoices, collections, accounts payable, and payment processing.
- Prepare driver payroll information for submission to the payroll department.
- Review and approve weekly employee time cards.
- Maintain organized files and records using effective filing systems.
- Track driver expenses, including tolls, fuel, and related costs.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries as needed.
- Assist with dispatching duties
- Apply basic marketing knowledge when needed
- Monitor office supply inventory and place orders as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of DOT regulations; prior knowledge preferred.
- Work independently while managing priorities and daily responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain productive in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Experience with digital file management systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Full-Time, Exempt Position
- Salary based on knowledge, experience, and education

- Lift and move up to 50 pounds on occasion
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years of administrative experience
