Summary
Responsible for general accounting functions including month end close process (journal entries and account reconciliations) and account analysis. This individual will assist the US Controller in effectively performing these functions and streamlining processes and procedures as defined below.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Support the monthly accounting close process.
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze account reconciliations, including follow-up and closure of discrepancies.
- Some cost accounting tasks may be assigned as needed, requiring some familiarity with standard material costs and labor/overhead rates.
- Provide hands-on assistance with financial and operational audits and assist CFO with managing the year-end audit.
- Correspond with other departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses.
- Coordination with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure activity is properly recorded in the general ledger
- Provide ad hoc analysis as needed.
- Perform various accounting, financial or administrative tasks, often on short notice, at the request of the management.

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities, though there will be opportunities for mentorship and coordination with AR/AP team members to improve accounting processes
