Materials Handling Assistant

As a Materials Handling Assistant, you’ll play an important role in keeping our collections organized, accessible, and ready for our community to enjoy. This is a great opportunity for someone who appreciates hands‑on‑work, enjoys a fast‑paced environment, and takes pride in a job well done.

• Operate and monitor the Library’s automated materials sorter.
• Check in returned library materials and prepare them for shelving.
• Shelve materials accurately and efficiently.
• Work independently while also collaborating with a supportive team.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with alphabetizing materials and knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Reliable, motivated, and energetic approach to work.
