The Project Safety Manager supports the Project Teams in developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) by developing and maintaining a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, generating weekly Total Case Incident Reports on large projects and submitting them to project leadership and management, leading incident and injury investigations in collaboration with Production leadership, supporting weekly toolbox safety meetings, and monitoring and auditing Cupertino Electric, Inc.
(CEI) and subcontractor compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and project safety requirements.
- Develop and maintain Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Generate weekly Total Case Incident Reports and submit to project leadership.
- Lead incident and injury investigations with production leadership.
- Provide assistance during weekly toolbox safety meetings.
- Monitor and audit CEI and subcontractor compliance with standards and requirements.
You are a seasoned OSHA 30‑certified Safety professional with extensive construction safety experience, strong understanding of electrical industry consensus standards (NFPA, NESC, ASTM, ANSI), strong communication skills, ability to influence behaviors, and experience working independently and as a team player.
What You Will GainYou will support and evaluate the effectiveness of our safety programs, co‑facilitate safety trainings and testing, assist the Project Leadership Team in weekly safety meetings, develop project‑specific plans to address safety issues, and experience our “Safety First” culture.
General Work Environment- Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, typing, carrying, pushing, bending; work in indoor office and outdoor construction job‑site settings.
- Occasional work at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Other duties may be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) preferred or similar Construction Management, Business, or Engineering.
- OSHA 30 Construction required.
- CPR/FA Certified (Trainer Preferred).
- Willingness to obtain BCSP CHST certification or higher within 12 months.
- Three to five years construction safety experience (electrical safety experience preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Bilingual proficiency preferred.
- Authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship.
