• Assist with construction management and inspection activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Perform engineering analyses, calculations, and technical problem‑solving under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) reviews by verifying the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of engineering plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, contractors, and public agencies to support successful project delivery.
• Prepare and maintain technical reports, field documentation, meeting notes, and project records.
• Assist in developing quantity calculations, cost estimates, and engineering documentation for transportation and civil engineering projects.
• Coordinate assigned project tasks and contribute to meeting project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, daily reports, and change order documentation while helping ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.
• Continue developing technical knowledge through mentorship, training, and exposure to a variety of transportation and infrastructure projects.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Construction Management (or related field)
• 1- 5+ years of construction inspection or field construction experience
• EIT preferred (or intent to pursue)
• IDOT DOCQ Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Familiarity with roadway, highway, or utility construction projects
• Exposure to IDOT, Illinois Tollway, municipal, or transportation projects is a plus
• Basic working knowledge of construction documentation software (e.g., e‑Builder, CMMS, Micro Station, or similar) preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail‑oriented, dependable, and eager to learn
• Self‑motivated, ambitious, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent with computer software, including Microsoft Office.

The compensation range for this role is a good-faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skill set, and physical work location.
