Mechanical HVAC Estimator

Seeking an experienced Mechanical HVAC Estimator to join our team. This position will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial HVAC projects from initial bid documents through final proposal. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of mechanical/HVAC systems, construction practices, subcontractor coordination, and project costs.

• Review and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial and industrial HVAC projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, insulation, controls, and related materials.
• Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and overall project cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, exclusions, and potential project risks.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors during the estimating process.

• 3+ years of HVAC/mechanical estimating experience, preferably within commercial or industrial construction.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, including air handlers, RTUs, VRF/VRV, chillers, boilers, pumps, ductwork, and piping.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong understanding of HVAC construction methods, materials, and labor requirements.
• Experience with estimating software and/or construction takeoff platforms preferred.
