Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing excellent service and support to customers by managing inquiries, processing orders, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. This role serves as a primary point of contact between the company and its customers and plays a key role in maintaining satisfaction, accuracy, and efficiency. This is Contract to Hire opportunity located in Elgin, IL.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels in a professional and courteous manner.

* Process customer orders, quotes, returns, and credits accurately and in accordance with company procedures.

* Track order status, shipment details, and delivery timelines, providing updates to customers as needed.

* Maintain accurate and up?to?date customer records within ERP or CRM systems.

* Resolve customer issues and complaints by researching solutions and coordinating with internal teams.

* Support sales and operations teams through administrative assistance and customer follow?up.

* Assist with invoicing, pricing updates, and basic accounting data entry as required.

* Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and service standards.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.

* 1-3 years of customer service or related experience in an office, manufacturing, distribution, or service environment.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer?focused mindset.

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast?paced environment.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

* Experience with ERP, CRM, or order management systems preferred.

Job Details:

* Contract to Hire

* 100% onsite

* Pay $20- $25 an hour, depending on experience
