The Front Desk Coordinator will oversee and coordinate the front desk activities in the office, assist other areas when directed, and provide excellent customer service. This role manages patient interactions and ensures an efficient workflow at the front desk. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
OfficeHours
- Monday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- $18–$22 per hour (based on experience)
- Patient Interaction:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar.
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department.
- Verify patient information and insurance details.
- Appointment Management:
- Coordinate and schedule appointments based on dentist availability.
- Send appointment reminders and confirm appointments.
- Handle appointment cancellations and rescheduling.
- Ensure recall appointments are booked.
- Follow up with patients on unplanned treatment plans.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
- Handle patient registration and check‑in/check‑out processes.
- Process and verify insurance information.
- Collect and record payments for services rendered.
- Oversee collections of aged receivables.
- Team Coordination:
- Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Problem Resolution:
- Address patient concerns and resolve issues related to appointments, billing, or service.
- Collaborate with dental professionals to handle patient complaints effectively.
- Proven experience in a front desk or administrative role, preferably in a dental office.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
- Proficient in using dental office software and general office applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to lift up to 15–30 pounds at a time.
