Virdi Dental is seeking to add a qualified and caring Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team! As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. Our ideal candidate will have an energetic, positive, team-first mentality with an excellent chairside manner and a desire to make patients feel welcome and comfortable. We are looking for a detail-oriented person with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, commitment to patient care, and a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices, who is confident in providing compassionate direction and guidance to patients and families.

- Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories (90 mins)
- Provide routine oral hygiene services and treatments to maintain optimal oral health (60 min recalls, 90 min SRP)
- Maintain accurate and detailed charting and patient records
- Collaborate with dentist and other team members to develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and their treatment plans, answering any questions they have
- Maintain a clean and organized space, including infection control protocols, sterilization, and inventory.
- Take vital signs, x-rays, impressions, and scans as needed.
- Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
- Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection
- Review upcoming schedule to anticipate clinic needs
- Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments
- Assist with recall systems, scheduling, and general office support as needed
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
- Keep up-to-date on professional knowledge and technical skills
- Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
- Active Illinois Hygiene License
- At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Outstanding written and oral communication
- Patience and Positivity
