Summer school occurs Monday through Friday with no school on June 19, 2026 to celebrate the Juneteenth holiday. Staff must be available on all days during the summer school sessions.
Professional Learning: 05/27/2026 - 05/28/2026
Dates: 06/01/2026 - 07/01/2026 (Monday-Friday)
Staff hours: 7:30 am to 1:15 pm
Student school day: 7:45 am to 1:00 pm
Summer School Rate: The employee will receive their regular rate of pay unless they are working a higher paying position (i.e. A to
B).

Function / Position Summary
To perform office reception and clerical duties in support of the summer school office. Works independently when necessary. Effectively interacts with staff and co-workers in a professional manner. Prioritizes tasks and utilizes excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure all assigned timelines are met. With administrative guidance, works to ensure a safe school operation through office assistance, positive customer service and directed procedures.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Ability to communicate with staff and co-workers in appropriate manner.
- Demonstrates confidentiality
- Accomplishes accurate filing.
- Ability to do typing/keyboarding.
- Willingness and ability to learn.
- Ability to work on own/work independently.
- Ability to multitask.
- Working knowledge of computer programs (Word) and willingness to learn advanced applications and specialized computer programs.
- Provide Bilingual assistance to building office and instructional staff.
- Answer phones prior to and after student attendance hours.
- Other duties as assigned by summer school administrator
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual (Spanish): speaking, reading, writing.
- Requires a minimum of 30 hours of college credit.
- Can communicate effectively with parents, students, staff.
- This is a temporary position. Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education.
