School-Based Social Worker

A school social worker position is available in the Richmond, IL area, serving students primarily at the high school level. This contract role is full-time, approximately 37.5 hours per week, running from ASAP through the end of the school year. Candidates who live in or near Elgin, IL, or surrounding communities are encouraged to apply. This position focuses on providing critical support for high school students.

Responsibilities include overseeing 504 plans for students with last names M-Z and delivering counseling sessions for those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The daily work schedule is from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, allowing for consistent engagement with students and staff. Qualifications and desired experience:
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) Proven experience working with high school students in educational settings Knowledge of 504 plans and IEP protocols and interventions Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively

Key responsibilities include:

Monitoring and managing 504 plans for designated students Conducting individual and group counseling sessions tailored to student needs Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements Supporting the social and emotional well-being of students
