Before and After School Care Program Assistant (Part‑time) – Holy Family Catholic School, Shorewood
Position Overview:
This position will serve as a role model to participants in the program and requires a positive attitude. Staff must enjoy working with school‑aged children and teens.
- Ensure safety of all children in the program
- Sign children upon arrival and departure
- Create an enriching, fun, and safe environment
- Plan activities for children of all ages
- Interact positively with children and their families
- Work independently as well as with a team
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by principal or pastor
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Protecting God's Children Certificate and background check required
- Background in education and/or college courses in recreation education is a plus but not required
- Childcare work experience with children of all ages preferred but not required
- Other training may be required after employment begins
This person must be available to work:
- Before school:
Monday through Friday 6:45 AM–7:45 AM (preferred); meets on regular school days when school is in session - After school:
Monday through Friday 2:30 PM–5:45 PM (preferred); meets on regular school days when school is in session
Hourly rate: $15.00–$22.00. Final hourly rate will be determined based on relevant years of experience in a similar job combined with education and professional licensure.
Physical AbilitiesThe employee may frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, use hands, reach with arms, walk up or down multiple flights of stairs, and lift up to 20–30 pounds if needed.
- Works in standard office and school building environments and also outdoors during student activities
