Overview
At The Goddard School, we are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Master Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a leader and mentor, guiding a team of educators to deliver exceptional learning experiences for young children. Your expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, and childhood development will help foster a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence early education practices, promote literacy and social-emotional growth, and support the holistic development of children from infancy through preschool age.
- Lead the planning and implementation of engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori and other pedagogies.
- Mentor and support teaching staff by providing guidance on classroom management, behavior management, lesson planning, and effective teaching strategies.
- Oversee classroom environments to ensure safety, cleanliness, and stimulating learning spaces that promote curiosity and exploration.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address individual needs, and foster strong partnerships centered on child welfare.
- Facilitate ongoing professional development sessions focused on curriculum development, special education techniques, early intervention strategies, and literacy education.
- Monitor classroom activities to ensure compliance with licensing regulations, standardized testing protocols, and childcare best practices.
- Support inclusive education practices by working with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Proven experience in early childhood education or preschool settings, with a strong background in classroom management and lesson planning.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across various educational areas such as math, literacy, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Familiarity with working with children of different ages, including toddlers and preschoolers, in daycare or private school environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and child welfare policies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, families, and community partners.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred;
Bachelors degree is preferred.
