ACT Teacher - Homewood-Floosmoor, IL

In this role you will teach ACT students onsite in an engaging classroom environment. Teaching will take place at a local high school during school hours, with classes running from October 2026 to March 2027 and typically 2‑3 times a week. Teachers may also have the opportunity to teach and tutor college-bound students in a virtual setting throughout the year. You will receive paid training for both content areas and modalities.
As an ACT Teacher you’ll:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exam prep and/or other educational content tailored to student needs.
- Prepare students for their exams using teaching methods and a carefully curated curriculum to fully immerse students in the language of the ACT.
- Support students both in and out of class, enabling them to solve problems with critical thinking and logic.
- Use data to close the opportunity gap for underrepresented students.
- Continue to learn via world-class professional training, coaching, and development.
- Enjoy a part‑time teaching schedule that allows you to explore other professional interests.
- Connect with colleagues remotely while completing training and class prep from the comfort and convenience of home.
Competitive in‑person teaching rate of $60 per hour. Any online tutoring paid at $35 per hour.

Requirements include:
- Minimum ten‑month commitment to the role.
- Daytime, weekday availability from October to March.
- Minimum of 15 hours per week.
- Scores within the 90th percentile of the ACT.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to work independently with a remote manager.
