Job SummaryTo assist teachers in implementing a developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Cleared background check through the state of IL (provided)
- Cleared medical exam inclusive of TB Test and proof of TDap and MMR Vaccines (provided if needed)
- Willing to participate in 40 hours of training the 1st month of employment and additional trainings throughout the year as needed.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Assist teachers in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Supervise individual and group play for children.
- Participate in all with children including but not limited to reading, large and small motor activities.
- Assist with routine care of children including feeding, hand washing, toileting, etc.
- Supervise outdoor play time.
- Assist teachers by setting out and helping the children with activities.
Other duties as assigned that relate to the job description.
