Thompsonville Christian Junior Academy (TCJA) is a thriving K-10 Seventh-day Adventist school located in Thompsonville, Illinois, on the campus of 3

ABN, offers a beautiful and serene setting for learning. We are seeking a dynamic K-10 ELA/Social Studies (Humanities) teacher to join our Christ-filled learning community. TCJA is committed to providing high-quality education. The school is supported by its constituent church
-Thompsonville SDA Church- along with the Three Angels Broadcasting Network and an engaged school board. Situated on expansive green space, the campus provides abundant opportunities for outdoor learning.

TCJA operates as a two-teacher school, and projected enrollment for the upcoming year is approximately 15 students. The structure allows for close-kit relationships, individualized attention and a strong sense of community.

We are looking for a teacher who brings warmth, professionalism, and a deep love for Adventist education. The ideal candidate models Christlike character, integrates faith naturally into instruction, and creates a structured, joyful, and engaging classroom where students feel safe, valued, and inspired to grow. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to balance whole-group, small group, and individualized instruction; use data to guide learning;

and cultivate strong partnerships with colleagues, families, and administration.

Active participation in school wide worship, events, and professional learning is essential, as is a passion for nurturing students academically, spiritually, and socially.

Qualified applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in education, possess or be eligible for NAD certification and demonstrate experience working with young children in an educational setting. Strong communication, organizational skills, and is an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
