Put your specialized expertise to work as a full-time School Psychologist, supporting high school students across two campuses for the upcoming academic year. In this contract position, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing both academic and behavioral success for students, while collaborating closely with educators, families, and support staff.

Qualifications and

Experience:
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution required
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or National Certified School Psychologist certification
  • In-depth understanding of research-based assessment tools and special education regulations, including IDEA, 504, and "child find" activities
  • Proven ability to develop outcome-driven plans that foster student achievement and positive behavioral change
  • Experience with evidence-based intervention frameworks in an educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead student support teams in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and crafting effective Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Serve as a consultative resource for parents, providing guidance on educational and behavioral supports for children both at home and at school
  • Interpret and report assessment data to IEP teams, facilitating informed decision-making
  • Coordinate and help facilitate IEP meetings, at times stepping into the legal educational authority (LEA) representative role, ensuring communication and procedures are seamless
  • Deliver direct counseling services, individually and in groups, for students facing academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges
  • Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers on instructional and behavioral strategies tailored to student needs
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining classroom behavior management programs
  • Participate actively in problem-solving sessions as a member of the School Support Team, analyzing data within a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)
  • Build partnerships with community agencies to further support students and their families
