Qualifications:
  • Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to create adaptive lesson plans and utilize a variety of teaching strategies
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Assess students' academic, behavioral, and social development
  • Modify curriculum and provide accommodations to ensure accessibility for all learners
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to promote student success
  • Use data-driven methods to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and ongoing communication
