Make a real impact this upcoming school year as a dedicated Special Education Teacher working with middle school students. In this contract opportunity, you'll support an inclusive learning environment, co-teaching four sections of English Language Arts (two for 7th grade and two for 8th grade). You'll also serve as a case manager for approximately 15 students, ensuring they receive the attention, advocacy, and resources they need to thrive.

This role is ideal for an LBS1-credentialed educator who is passionate about guiding and inspiring diverse learners in the middle school setting.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Valid LBS1 certification required
• Experience working with middle school-aged students, preferably in an inclusive/co-teaching environment
• Strong understanding of IEPs and experience with case management
• Collaborative approach to working with general education staff and support services
• Excellent organizational, communication, and advocacy skills

Primary responsibilities:

• Co-teach four sections of ELA alongside general education teachers (grades 7 and
  8)
• Serve as case manager for approximately 15 students, including progress monitoring and supporting IEP implementation
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom community
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs
• Effectively communicate with parents, staff, and administration
• Participate in student meetings, team planning sessions, and ongoing professional development
