Position: Second Grade Dual Language Teacher (Temporary Medical Leave)
Employment Dates: October – December (through Winter Break)
Location: Indian Creek Elementary School

Indian Creek Elementary is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Second Grade Dual Language Teacher to serve as a temporary classroom teacher during a medical leave beginning in October and continuing through Winter Break in December
. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction in a collaborative, student-centered learning environment while supporting the academic growth of second-grade students.

We are seeking a licensed Indiana teacher who is passionate about elementary education.
Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are strongly preferred
; however,
qualified non-bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Our Dual Language team is prepared to provide support with the Spanish instructional components, allowing a strong educator to be successful in the role regardless of language proficiency.

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction for second-grade students.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes academic excellence and student well-being.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Collaborate with the Dual Language team, instructional coach, and grade-level colleagues to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Monitor student progress and use assessment data to guide instructional decisions.
• Communicate effectively with families and school staff regarding student learning and progress.
• Maintain accurate student records and fulfill all classroom and professional responsibilities.

• Valid Indiana Teaching License with elementary certification.
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective elementary classroom instruction.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for all students.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to provide instruction in both languages.
• Experience teaching in a Dual Language or bilingual education setting.
• Knowledge of second-grade curriculum and best instructional practices.
• Experience collaborating within a Professional Learning Community (PLC).

• A highly collaborative and supportive school culture.
