We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analysis Technician to become a key member of our dedicated engineering team at our state-of-the-art facility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge electronic repair and analysis of mobile and portable 2-way radios, with potential for career growth and ongoing technical development.
Position Overview:
As an Analysis Technician, you will be responsible for performing detailed board-level analysis on failed 2-way subscriber products. You will utilize advanced testing equipment and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of failures, support quality assurance, and contribute to process improvements. This is a dynamic role ideal for individuals passionate about electronics and electronics troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze rejected electronic assemblies using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and other test instruments.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex hardware issues, providing clear and actionable findings.
- Define corrective actions, document failure analysis reports, and communicate results effectively to cross-functional teams.
- Distinguish between vendor defects and process-related issues.
- Record failure data accurately and explain diagnoses in detailed reports.
- Support factory operations, including weekend activities, as required.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements and maintain high standards of quality.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 1-3 years of relevant hands-on experience in electronic troubleshooting and analysis.
- Proficiency with electronic testing and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and signal generators.
- Knowledge of RF principles; experience working with RF and wireless communication components is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics at a component level.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Onsite presence required; steel-toe boots mandatory for safety.
