We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams, drive product development initiatives, and support the continued growth of our engineering organization. This role combines technical leadership, project management, team development, and cross-functional collaboration to support both customer and manufacturing needs.
About the Role and Your Impact- Lead and supervise engineering teams responsible for product design and development
- Coordinate and direct engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, and technical execution
- Work closely with management, production, marketing, and customers to define project specifications and objectives
- Analyze technology, resource requirements, and market demand to assess project feasibility
- Direct, review, and approve engineering designs and design changes
- Drive continuous improvement within engineering processes, standards, and procedures
- Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate engineering staff
- Support strategic planning, resource allocation, and department growth initiatives
- Provide technical leadership related to electronic component design, manufacturing processes, and engineering systems
- Collaborate across departments to ensure projects meet performance, quality, and customer requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of progressive engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering management experience within a related industry
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, electronic component design, and manufacturing processes
- Experience leading technical teams and managing complex engineering projects
- Strong understanding of design techniques, technical drawings, blueprints, and production models
- Knowledge of circuits, electronic components, processors, computer hardware, and basic mechanical assemblies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and customer-facing teams
- Experience with in electronics manufacturing or passive component industries
- Strong leadership and organizational development capabilities
- Experience with strategic planning, resource management, and process improvement initiatives
- Customer-facing engineering or technical support experience
- Lead engineering teams within a stable, privately held company with a 75+ year history
- Drive meaningful product and process innovation
- Collaborate with experienced engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
