Senior Cost Accountant

A well-established, privately held manufacturer is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support plant operations and corporate accounting. This role provides essential financial support through cost analysis, monthly reporting, and operational performance review.

This is a highly visible role partnering directly with Plant and Corporate leadership.

• Prepare monthly plant financial reports with comparative analysis vs. budget and prior year
• Meet with plant management to review production standards and costing accuracy
• Analyze production yields, costs, and efficiencies
• Develop and standardize costing and product output procedures
• Review and adjust bills of material (BOM) and routings
• Support month-end and pre-month-end close processes
• Create concise executive summaries for senior leadership
• Serve as liaison between plant operations and Corporate Accounting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline
• 3–5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience with standard costing and manufacturing variances
• Solid understanding of BOMs and manufacturing reporting systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
