Senior International Tax Manager | Global Manufacturer | Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
A publicly traded, highly acquisitive global manufacturing company is hiring an International Tax Senior International Tax Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a visible leadership role with exposure to complex international tax planning, ASC 740, U.S. international compliance, transfer pricing, and global tax strategy.
This role reports into the Tax Director and will support a fast-growing multinational organization with operations across multiple countries. The company offers strong leadership visibility, a collaborative culture, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across tax reporting, compliance, planning, and process improvement.
Responsibilities- Review and oversee quarterly and annual ASC 740 financial reporting for international entities, including effective tax rate, current/deferred tax analysis, and valuation allowance considerations
- Lead U.S. international tax compliance, including GILTI, FDII, BEAT, and related forms such as 1118, 5471, 8858, and others
- Prepare and/or review Country-by-Country reporting, Local Country and Master File documentation, and other transfer pricing-related items
- Monitor domestic and international tax legislation, assess business impact, and help implement required changes
- Support international tax planning, acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and other strategic transactions
- Assist with federal and international income tax audits
- Partner cross-functionally with accounting, legal, treasury, and operating business units
- Lead, develop, and mentor high-performing tax professionals
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, particularly through technology and automation
- 8+ years of international tax experience, ideally from Big 4 public accounting or a combination of Big 4 and a large multinational corporation
- CPA or Master’s in Accounting/Tax required
- Strong experience with international tax forms included in U.S. Form 1120
- ASC 740 and FIN 48 experience
- Ability to independently manage tax compliance, tax accounting processes, and special projects
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Advanced Excel skills;
One Source Income Tax/Provision experience is a plus
