Phlebotomist

Perform blood collections by venipuncture technique for all age groups
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide customer service to patients
Perform clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed

• High School graduate or equivalent required
• National Phlebotomy Certification or qualified to sit for phlebotomy certification exam preferred
• Prior experience as a Phlebotomist OR an equivalent combination of graduation from a certified phlebotomy school coupled with work experience in a healthcare field preferred
• Moderate knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, scheduled 8-hour shifts varying between 7:00am–6:00pm, with rotating Saturdays 8:00am–12:00pm
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Demonstrates proficiency in blood collection techniques and specimen preparation while maintaining accurate patient information logs. Strong communication skills and customer service orientation are essential for interacting with patients and performing clerical duties.
