Job Description

Support middle school students by stepping into a critical role as a School Psychologist for a maternity leave coverage this fall. This full-time, contract opportunity begins October 1, 2026 and continues through December, providing valuable support to a vibrant student body in a collaborative educational environment.

This position requires an onsite presence near Maple Park, engaging directly with students, educators, and families to promote positive outcomes and wellbeing. You’ll use your expertise to assess student needs, support interventions, and be an essential resource for both staff and families navigating educational or emotional challenges.

Qualifications:

• Active School Psychologist licensure in Illinois is required
• Experience working in a school setting, preferably with middle school students
• Strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Available to work onsite full time from October through December 2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and provide psychological assessments for students
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to create appropriate student support plans
• Participate in IEP meetings, offering insight and recommendations
• Deliver crisis intervention and counseling as needed
• Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation and comply with district and state guidelines
