Responsibilities

The Human Resources Generalist manages day‑to‑day operations and provides a wide variety of complex HR support to all levels in the organization, ensuring comprehensive administration of HR policy and procedures. The position performs high‑level professional duties in a variety of functional core HR areas, including affirmative action, acquisition projects, and legal compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a closely related field (preferred).
  • PHR, SPHR, or relevant HR certifications or advanced degree (preferred).
  • 5 years’ experience in HR, including at least two years in healthcare (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce high‑quality material with attention to detail.
  • Computer knowledge that includes Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Pay Transparency

Saint Joseph Hospital – Elgin offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $66K to $93K annually, based on skill set, experience, education, and other factors.
