Corporate - Elgin, IL 60123
Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.00 Hourly
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the full scope of human resources functions at A-TEC Ambulance, Inc., including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, maintaining employee records & benefits administration. This role ensures workforce readiness and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced EMS environment while promoting a positive and professional workplace culture for current and future employees.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
- Organizational and time management skills
- Confidentiality and professional discretion
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
- Minimum 2-4 years of HR experience required
- Experience in healthcare, EMS, or public safety environment strongly preferred
- Experience with multi-site or shift-based workforce preferred
