Overview
Our Client a technology company that specializes in providing mission-critical communication systems and analytics for public safety
, is looking for someone to join their team as a Analyzing Technician!
This is an onsite 6-month contract with long term potential, that takes place in Elgin, IL
Required Skills & Experience- Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology required (Bachelor's preferred).
- Proficiency in operating/setup of electronics equipment (signal generator, modulation/audio analyzers, spectrum analyzer, power meter, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- RF knowledge and 1-3 years of related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for component-level troubleshooting is a PLUS.
- Extensive knowledge of 2-way subscriber products is a PLUS.
- Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills required.
- 100% onsite presence required.
- Steel toe boots are mandatory.
- Analyze rejected electronic assemblies using various test equipment, simulators, and troubleshooting skills.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems, define corrective actions, and communicate findings effectively.
- Identify vendor vs. process defects and write detailed failure analysis reports.
- Record data of failures and explain diagnoses clearly.
- Work independently and adapt to varying conditions.
- Support factory operations on weekends when required.
