LMI is currently seeking a Data Architect to analyze, manage, and provide insights from organizational databases across USTRANSCOM, located at Scott AFB, IL. This on-site position requires a combination of robust data management expertise and advanced analytical skills to design and implement efficient data systems while uncovering actionable insights that drive strategic decision‑making.

The Data Architect will play a key role in the design, development, and management of mission‑critical databases and data management strategies.

• Design and manage databases to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and reporting.
• Develop and implement strategies for data acquisition, integration, and recovery to support organizational needs.
• Translate business needs into long‑term data architecture solutions and operate within a data warehouse environment.
• Analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that drive decision‑making and address operational challenges.
• Evaluate and integrate hardware/software platforms while optimizing data models, systems, and workflows.

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following:

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Information Computer Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
• Active Secret clearance (preferred) or ability to obtain one (required).
• Proven experience in database design, data management, and analytics.
• Experience working within data tools.
• Proficiency in designing dimensional data dashboards and advanced object/data modeling.
• Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable, strategic insights.
• Knowledge of USTRANSCOM and relevant objectives/goals.

Preferred Skills and Characteristics:

• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools to communicate insights visually.
• Experience working with a data warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in designing dimensional databases and advanced object/data modeling.
• 8+ years of experience.
