Position Summary
Our customer is the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the Department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA‑provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24×7x365 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC). II (GSMO‑II) have an opening in our Enterprise SATCOM Gateway Services (ESGS) Operations Support Cell for a Network Support Analyst at Scott AFB, IL. This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance to start.
- Assist with ticket creation and updating using DISA ticketing applications to aid in customer problem tracking and resolution for Baseband, IF, and RF communications.
- Monitor network events and element management failures in real time on a 24×7×365 basis.
- Perform IP network support, including configuration of routers, switches, firewalls and voice equipment.
- Perform IP satellite modem support, including configuration and issue of option/boot/RSP files.
- Remotely access and de‑access customers into the IP/SATCOM networks.
- Work with DoD SATCOM Gateway facilities and deployed operators to troubleshoot and resolve SATCOM and IP network issues.
- Verify equipment operates in the baseline configuration and remotely provide global equipment configurations at DoD SATCOM Gateways using Satellite Access Authorization (SAA) and Gateway Access Authorization (GAA).
- DoD‑8570 IAT Level2 baseline certification (Security+CE or equivalent) at the start date.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 operations environment.
- Moderate experience with SAA/GAAs documentation for network configuration.
- Moderate understanding and experience with MILSATCOM encryption devices.
- Moderate understanding and experience with Satellite Communications (SATCOM) architecture and signal flow.
- Experience managing IP over SATCOM networks using iDirect/Linkway/EBEM or equivalent FM‑TDMA hubs.
High school diploma and 2–4 years of relevant experience.
Compensation and BenefitsPay Range: $48,100.00–$86,950.00. Benefits include competitive compensation, health and wellness programs, income protection, paid leave and retirement.
