The Illinois Office of the Comptroller seeks a Public Service Administrator - IT - Database Administrator to develop, manage, and maintain DB2 databases under the Deputy Chief Information Officer. This role involves designing database systems, monitoring performance, managing backups and recovery strategies, and providing technical support to ensure data integrity and security. The position serves as the primary point of contact for DB2 technical support and handles on-call duties.
Keyqualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related IT field
- Minimum 2 years progressively responsible administrative experience with MVS Mainframe and DB2, including SQL writing and database management
- Knowledge of database management systems, SQL, and computer science principles
- Professional experience with DB2 on z/OS and SQL Server preferred
- Document management and MS SQL administration certifications preferred
