Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM. Flexibility as needed by the department.

Rate of Pay:

This is a Full-Time Support Staff position at grade 214, with an annual salary range of $65,527 to $87,370. The salary offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College’s compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable.

Job Summary:

This position provides high-level technical expertise for all college hardware and software with a focus on process improvement, designing, engineering, and automating processes used by departmental staff. This position serves as a departmental project coordinator for both internal and external projects related to the Technology Services department. Major duties include coordinating the yearly replacements of college computers, hardware/software rollouts, Apple device MDM management, Jira Helpdesk automations/workflows, scripted API integrations, server maintenance, database maintenance, and monitoring/reporting on equipment usage.

This role has the technical skillset and understanding of responsibilities to coordinate closely with and provide back up to departmental Systems Administrators as needed. This position works closely with the Managing Director of Technology Services and the Senior Director of Technology Services Support. to shape and implement long-term strategic decisions

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or a minimum of 6 years of experience developing, implementing, maintaining and supporting solutions in a networked environment, as well as coordinating projects, troubleshooting, and repairing computer hardware and software.

Certifications such as PMP (PMI Institute), ITIL/ITSM required or completed within first year in position; A+, Network + are preferred.

Excels in leadership and project management skills necessary to coordinate large scale departmental projects working closely with senior leadership.

Strong ability to analyze and map processes to find opportunities for improvement, as well as engineer technical solutions to implement changes as needed.

Extensive knowledge of working in and developing solutions related to the operation of helpdesk ticketing systems and the ITSM framework.

Expert knowledge of APIs and the ability to write custom solutions to streamline various departmental systems by sharing data seamlessly with one another.

Expert knowledge in programming/scripting languages and automation concepts necessary to engineer workflows to be utilized by staff in various systems used by the department.

Expert knowledge integrating and administering hardware/software using various systems management platforms such as Microsoft SCCM, Jamf Pro, and Google Workspace.

Expert knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network security principles.

Extensive knowledge of A/V systems, as well as automation and control systems used during client presentations and events.

Excellent documentation skills required to ensure proper training materials and how-to guides can be made available to staff. Ensuring all work is tracked within project tracking system.
