Property Field Claims Consultant

About the Role

Property Claims Consultant with the field claims team responsible for providing a consistent, positive, and satisfying claims experience for clients through the proper investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of complex property claims.

Key activities include on‑site inspections using drones for property inspections and virtual claim handling software to guide clients safely and expertly through the claim process.

• Investigate claims by determining applicable policy coverage; evaluate, negotiate, and settle assigned claims.
• Initiate contact with insureds, claimants, and other relevant parties to gather information, obtain recorded statements when necessary, and explain the overall claims process.
• Complete physical and/or virtual inspections of damaged property, evaluate damages, and prepare written estimates according to policy provisions and liability.

• 10+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of related experience, education and training.
• Maintain the appropriate adjuster’s licensing required by the states in which we do business.
• For Property‑Field representatives (excluding the Large Property Loss Unit) – Part
  107 drone license required for roof inspections; license must be obtained within five months of start date and exam passed within three attempts.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to work independently and handle extended hours as needed.
• Willingness to respond to catastrophic duty and prioritize client service.

Base Pay Range: $93,200 – $128,150. The range reflects the typical salary offers for candidates hired and is further influenced by specific skills, experience, and qualifications.

Field work within McHenry and Lake counties (excluding Cook County) and the Chicagoland area. The position operates in a home‑office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners and copiers.

Work may extend beyond normal business hours and the candidate may be called upon for catastrophic duty.
