  • Cost Management – Analyze market trends, pricing, and cost structures to identify cost‑saving opportunities. Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost reductions or cost stability.
  • Supply Chain Optimization – Work closely with other departments, such as buyer and supplier quality assurance team, to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain. Address any supply chain disruptions or issues promptly.
  • Risk Management – Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain, including geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Quality Assurance – Ensure that purchased commodities meet quality standards and specifications. Collaborate with quality control teams to address any quality issues with suppliers.
  • Cost‑Benefit Analysis – Conduct cost‑benefit analyses and financial evaluations to support procurement decisions and investments.

  • Environmental and Social Responsibility – Consider sustainability and corporate social responsibility aspects in sourcing decisions and supplier relationships.
