Compensation & Benefits- Pay: $39.60 per hour
- Sign-on Bonus: $3,000 (payable after 90 days of successful employment)

Elgin, IL - Shift: Monday‑Friday (Saturdays dependent on business needs)

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment (gas & diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, forklifts, tankers, and trailers).
- Troubleshoot and repair fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Oversee Fleet Technicians and provide direction as assigned by Lead Technician.
- Help schedule and support all work within the shop.
- Coordinate training.
- Manage costs according to budget and daily completion of repairs.
- Ensure DOT compliance.
- Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Receive and process invoices for payment.
- Maintain parts inventory and budget.
- Maintain shop housekeeping standards and prepare end‑of‑month reporting.
- Ensure safe work practices.
- Positive team‑player attitude.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
- Completed 2 years of technical education or 3 years of hands‑on experience.
- Diagnostic experience; ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with diesel engine repair, hydraulic systems, drive train assemblies, suspension chassis, electrical troubleshooting.
- Valid Driver's License; ability to obtain CDL Class B within specified period.
- ASE certification required within specified period.
- Must possess personal tools.
- Ability to handle physical requirements: repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) experience preferred.
